Our at-home pet travel health certificate services ensure your furry companion meets all travel requirements without the hassle of a clinic visit. From thorough examinations to completing the necessary paperwork, we’re here to help your pet travel safely and stress-free.

Convenience of At-Home Services

Skip the stress of clinic visits—our team comes directly to your home, providing personalized care in a familiar environment. We proudly serve the Greater Los Angeles area. Check our Service Area Map to see if we’re in your neighborhood.

Domestic (Interstate) Travel

Most airlines and some states require a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) for pets traveling across state lines. Our at-home service ensures your pet is healthy, up-to-date on vaccinations, and meets all requirements for domestic travel. We’ll complete the documentation you need, so you can focus on planning your trip.

International Travel

International travel involves additional steps, such as microchipping, rabies titers, and USDA endorsement of your health certificate. Dr. Grace, who is a USDA-certified veterinarian, will ensure your pet complies with destination-specific regulations. We will guide you through the process, providing one-on-one support from start to finish.

The Process

At Saving Grace Veterinary Services, we’re here to make the process of getting your pet travel-ready as easy and stress-free as possible. Here’s how we’ll help every step of the way:

Before Your Appointment

  • Research your destination’s specific health and vaccination rules for pets, as well as your airline’s pet travel policies. Airlines may have restrictions on carrier size, pet weight, and in-cabin vs. cargo travel, so it’s crucial to confirm their guidelines in advance.

    USDA Requirements for:
    Interstate Travel
    International Travel

    Airline-Specific Resources:
    American
    Delta
    United
    Southwest
    Alaska
    Spirit
    Frontier
    Jet Blue

*Please contact your airline directly for the most up-to-date info regarding pet travel requirements.

  • Email us, or have on hand, vaccination certificates, prior test results, and microchip information with you, before your appointment.

  • Schedule your appointment early, especially for international travel, as some requirements need weeks or months (yes, months!) to complete.

During Your Appointment

  • Dr. Grace, a USDA-accredited veterinarian, will perform a thorough health examination to ensure your pet is fit for travel.

  • Any required vaccinations (e.g., Rabies) diagnostic tests (e.g., Rabies titers), or treatments (e.g., deworming, microchipping), will be performed during this visit.

  • Dr. Grace will complete and sign the necessary health certificate, preparing it for submission or endorsement.

After Your Appointment

  • If traveling internationally, the health certificate will be sent to the USDA for approval. Endorsement typically takes 1-3 business days.

*Early & accurate preparation of requirements is crucial for prompt endorsement by the USDA.

  • Ensure your travel dates fall within the certificate’s validity window (usually 10–21 days depending on the destination).

  • Keep all documents, including the health certificate and vaccination records, handy. Ensure your pet is ready with their carrier, favorite toys, and any medications they need.

Our goal is to make traveling with your pet a breeze. Whether you’re heading across the country or across the globe, we’ll help ensure your furry companion is healthy, happy, and ready to join you on your adventure.

Safe travels!
